21 BlackJack
21 is a game similar to Black jack. 21 or Black jack is maybe the most popular casino card game in the world. Much of its popularity is due to the mix of chance with elements of skill.
The objective of 21 or Black jack is for the player to come as close to 21 without going over, while still having a higher totalpoint than the dealer. Prior to receiving any cards, the player must place a wager. Then the black jack player are dealt two cards face up. The dealer gets one card face up, one card face down.
Each player (if more than one) in turn either stays or takes more
cards to try and get closer to 21 without busting (getting over
21). Players who do not bust wait for the dealer's turn. When all
the players are done, the dealer turns up the down card. By rule,
on counts of 17 or higher the dealer must stay; on counts of 16
or lower the dealer must draw. The hand with the highest total (below 21 or 21) wins and a new round of black jack / 21 can begin. Black jack and 21 - what is the difference?
In Britain and some european countries Black jack are also known as 21 or pontoon, but it is the same game! There might though be some slight variations to the basic black jack (or 21) rules at different casinos. You just have to ask the dealer when you sit down to play and read the signs on the black jack table.
